1. North America To Tanzania

Are you in the U.S worrying about how to get to Tanzania? Be confident that you can get there from any major international airport in the U.S.

How long and how many transfers it will take to get you there will be determined by your starting location because there are no nonstop flights directly from the U.S. to Tanzania.

If coming from an east coast city, one transfer may get you to Tanzania but flying from the west coast will require you to take at least two connections.

It means travelers will be subjected to either make two or a single stop in Istanbul and/ or Amsterdam.

Travelers can opt to take Turkish Airlines because it has direct flights to Tanzania from 13 different cities in the U.S. via Istanbul.

Turkish Airlines is the world’s largest carrier that fly non – stop from a single airport than any other airline on earth.

Being headquartered at the Turkish Airlines General Management Building on the grounds of Ataturk in Yesilkov, Bakirkov – Istanbul, Turkish Airlines covers over 122 countries with a fleet of 336.

Turkish Airlines provides customers with low-cost flights through its subsidiaries which continue to strengthen the global brand.

Being headquartered in Amstelveen, KLM peaked in social media during the Icelandic volcano Eyjafjallajökull when customers used social networks to contact the airline, which used them to provide information about the situation.

KLM offers World Business, Europe Business, Economy Comfort, and Economy classes.

Alternatively, if coming from the U.S, Delta Air Lines from Atlanta through Johannesburg is still the best option to fly to Tanzania.

Delta Airlines is a major American Airlines company whose headquarter is in Atlanta, Georgia in the U.S. It provides air services to almost all countries around the globe.

The main hub of Delta Airline is situated at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport – the busiest airport in terms of the number of passengers in the U.S.

Delta Airlines is the sixth oldest airline in the world as well as the oldest airline in the U.S which is still operating in spite of being old.

It is one of the founding members of Sky Team which is an alliance of various other airline companies.

The other best alternative to fly from the U.S to Tanzania is to use South African Airways. From New York (JFK) or Washington-Dulles, South African Airways flew to Tanzania after overnight near the airport in Johannesburg.

It was about 3 hours 30 minutes from South Africa to Dar es Salaam with South African Airways. It is still one of my best experiences to fly to Tanzania from the United States. I enjoyed all the services on the flight and I can’t wait to travel with South African Airways once again in the near future. It was a comfortable trip from the United States to Tanzania.

2. Europe To Tanzania

There are various international flights that fly from different parts of Europe to Tanzania every day.

However, the common and recommendable airlines are the best if you are to choose to include KLM and Turkish Airlines.

Alternatively, Egypt Air, Emirates, Etihad Airways, Qatar Airways, Oman Air, and Ethiopian Airlines are still the best airlines that take off from Europe to Tanzania through their hubs in the Middle – East or Africa.

Therefore, it is easy to fly from Europe to Tanzania as there are multiple options that are still the best. Therefore, it will depend on your preference and the kind of route you will prefer to take.

Generally, flying from Europe to Tanzania has two direct routes. KLM Royal Dutch Airlines from Amsterdam and Turkish Airlines from Istanbul Ataturk International Airport fly daily to Dar es Salaam and Kilimanjaro in Tanzania.

Don’t worry if you are coming from other different parts of Europe because British Airways from London Heathrow; Air France from Paris; Swiss Air from Zurich; Brussels Airlines from Brussels; Lufthansa from Frankfurt; and Kenya Airways from London Heathrow or Amsterdam will land you the pivotal East Africa “hub” of Nairobi.

Then, from there Kenya Airways which connects at least daily to all of Tanzania’s gateway airports will reach you in Tanzania. With Kenya Airways, it will take you only nine hours overnight to Nairobi from London, which connects to arrive in Dar es Salaam at around 9 am.

Flying this giant flight is a nice experience! With Emirates, you will fly direct to Dar es Salaam as you depart from Dubai as its only point to take a break when it has taken off from Europe.

On top of that, if you prefer to fly through Addis Ababa, then Ethiopian Airlines is the best option for Tanzania from Europe.

However, if you want to fly Europe through Abu Dhabi then Etihad Airways is the only best option that you won’t avoid. Most travelers will choose Etihad Airways basing on its good and lovely record of offering the best service of passengers’ operation.

The airlines do not have a history of any serious safety threat which makes it to be termed as one of the safest airlines in the world since it commenced operations in November 2003.

Therefore, if you planning to visit Tanzania from Europe and you want to pass through Abu Dhabi, I would recommend that you fly with Etihad Airways.

However, these are not the only best options but also Oman Air through Muscat and Qatar Airways through Doha will take you to Dar es Salaam in Tanzania from Europe.

The good thing is that some of these airlines also have routes to Kilimanjaro and Zanzibar. I have been flying with almost all of these airlines from different parts of Europe but all of my trips were completely amazing.

Deciding which flight you need to take if coming from Europe will depend on the points or hub you need to land first before you arrive in Tanzania.

I have traveled three times with South Africa Airways from Brazil to Tanzania and every time I travel it has been perfect. The last time to fly with that flight was last December after Christmas when I visited Tanzania for game viewing.

If time is not a factor, then alternatively Ethiopian Airlines – Africa’s largest airline and the world’s 4th largest airline in terms of the number of countries served headquartered at the Bole International Airport is the best airline to fly to Tanzania through the Middle – East.

Ethiopian Airlines providing business and economy classes has been nominated as; Africa’s Leading Airline 2018, Africa’s Leading Airline Brand 2018, Africa’s Leading Airline – Economy Class 2017, Africa’s Leading Airline Brand 2017, Africa’s Leading Airline – Economy Class 2016, Africa’s Leading Airline – Economy Class 2015, Africa’s Leading Airline – Economy Class 2014, and Africa’s Leading Airline – Economy Class 2013.
